How do I backup my WordPress installation?

This article assumes you installed WordPress through Softaculous in your cPanel.

  1. Log into cPanel and scroll down to the Softaculous Apps Installer.
  2. Click on the WordPress icon.
  3. Scroll down to Current Installations.
  4. Click on the green backup icon under Options on the row for the installation you want to backup.
  5. Follow the steps provided to backup the files and database to your server.
